How to Avoid Study Burn Out

Study burnout happens when you force yourself to study and you are stressed and exhausted. You need fresh air and a relaxed body to study more effectively.

Studying just like working could also

cause burnout.

And if this problem occurs, the student will not be able to concentrate on his studies. Study burnout happens when examination is coming or when one is preparing for a board examination. Once the student feels burnt out studying is not anymore effective. There is no use studying when one is too tired or stressed. Imagine you are too stressed and you feel exhausted, it is impossible for you to study and be able to absorb what you are studying. This means that it is no use studying when your mind refuses to work properly.

Before starting to study, make sure that you are well rested. Eat a proper diet and avoid too much fatty foods and sweets. Sweet and fatty foods make you sleepy and feeling lousy. These kinds of foods are not advisable to eat if you are planning to study for long hours.

Set a time to study when everyone in the house is in bed and the environment is quiet. This is good because you will not encounter distractions. Do not attempt to study for long straight hours. Take a break every now and then. You could get eye strain if you concentrate too much in your reading and it could cause you also migraine. One good advice is not to put water, juice or food on your table so that if you are thirsty you can stand and take a short walk to the kitchen. Always relax your muscles so that you will not get stressed. If you are relaxed you can study better.

Do not study all your books and subjects at one time. Plan which subject you should study first. After studying one subject, take a break. You could either take a short walk outside or go for a drink. Do not watch television or play computer games. These activities will not help you relax but adds to the stress you are feeling. If you want to relax, you can lie down and close your eyes before going back to your books. Walking outside for fresh air is the best option since it will relax you more.

You can also choose where to study more effectively. People have different ways of studying effectively. Some play music. Some want a quiet place to study. If you live near a park or if you have a garden, these are the best places to study. This place provides an ambiance that no place could equal. It is a place where one could study and concentrate well. If you have no garden at home you could choose a cool place to study. A cool place will avoid study burnout.

Every time you feel tired, stand up and take a short walk. Or you can just sit down and close your eyes. Take a short rest before studying again. It is not advisable to study for long straight hours. This would not be very effective because once the nerves are tired, concentration would slow down and studying will be less effective.
