Best Online Textbook Rental: BookRenter vs. Chegg Review & Coupon Code

In this report

As textbook prices increase, students are trying to find better alternatives to purchasing textbooks. Some students may have difficulties buying or locating books at nearby bookstores. However, with textbook companies BookRenter and Chegg, they can make the book buying process easier for students to find and purchase books at reasonable prices.  Students now have the ability to rent their books for an inexpensive and reliable rate. Book renting sites that offer reasonable prices are convenient for students who already have enough bills to deal with. These sites can offer assistance to finally decrease the high costs students spend on books.

Students can save up to 80% when renting or buying textbooks.

A 21-day “No Questions Asked” return policy is available if the student changes his or her mind.

Books are received in new or like-new conditions.

Students are allowed to write and highlight on rented books.

Fast shipping and multiple rental periods are offered for the student’s convenience.

Students have the choice to sell back their used textbooks.

If students are uncertain about any policies, they can chat online at BookRenter.com for effective answers.

This feature allows students to decide which platform best suits them.

#2 - Chegg   http://www.chegg.com

Chegg.com is another textbook rental company where students can rent, buy and sell textbooks.

Pros:

Chegg's latest feature is the E-Textbook. Students can access their purchased books electronically.

Chegg plants a tree for every book ordered.

Like BookRenter, a 21-day “Any Reason” return policy is offered.

Highlighting on textbooks is allowed.

Students are able to sell used books for top dollar rates.

Cons:

Students must pay for standard shipping fees.

Supplemental material may not be provided with textbooks.

No international shipping

Pricing:

Textbooks from Chegg are sometimes the same price as BookRenter. At BookRenter the student is receiving a great discount on books. Chegg often has great deals by offering coupons that discount textbooks.

The Bottom Line

In the end, BookRenter’s up to 80% in savings is best for any student planning on saving a good amount of money. BookRenter's free shipping both ways is also a neat feature because students are already caught up with the book's expense itself. Students who have accumulated textbooks over time can sell them for cash or credit. Last but not least, customer service is a key ingredient for a successful business. BookRenter's customer service is both reliable and informative. If the student is ever confused on guidelines or general factors, a BookRenter representative will lead the student to a successful book shopping journey.

Nice job on the comparison, but you left out some of the best websites that allow students to rent textbooks. It's important to remember that there are several other textbook rental websites out there.

While I do like both those sites, there are other options out there. That's why I use http://www.bigwords.com They are a textbook price comparison engine that searches all the online retailers and rental sites to find you the best prices. They save you time and money!
